1. Data Collection
Q-Alpha collects only the minimum data necessary to provide the service: email address, authentication credentials, and usage analytics. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
2. Data Processing
Risk, optimisation and scenario calculations run on our servers; quantum circuits used for seeding are simulated on classical computers. Portfolio holdings you add in My Portfolio are stored on our servers with your account until you delete them or your account. Inputs to one-off analyses (for example the optimizer or headline scoring) are processed for that request and recorded in your query log (type, symbol and time).
3. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS (TLS). Web sessions use an httpOnly access cookie that expires after 1 hour and a refresh cookie that expires after 7 days; the web session also ends after 12 hours of inactivity. We apply Content Security Policy, HSTS and X-Frame-Options headers.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of the subscription. Upon account deletion, all personal data and portfolio history are permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained for service improvement.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Stripe for payment processing (PCI DSS compliant). No financial data is stored on our servers. Analytics are processed using privacy-respecting, first-party tools.
